Introduction   The vast majority of businesses in APAC and CALA remain focused on maintaining and increasing the scale of their DTMF-IVR investments. The next five years will exhibit an uptake in DTMF and speech-enabled Voice-XML platforms in APAC and CALA. This report will analyze the many different segments that comprise the emerging IVR markets in APAC and CALA.  
  Scope   Collected IVR port shipment data and segmented DTMF and speech ports by traditional IVR and Voice-XML.

  Report Highlights   The combined total market value of the emerging IVR markets, APAC and CALA, was $206 million at the end of 2004 and will grow to $333 million by 2009 at a CAGR of 10.1%. The total market value reflects installed base and IVR shipment (add-on and new systems) revenues.  
  The service provider market accounts for the bulk of IVR shipments in the APAC market. In 2004, service providers accounted for 75% of IVR shipments while enterprises accounted for 25%. By 2009, the enterprise market will grow in proportion to account for 29% of IVR shipments.  
  The CALA IVR market is composed of several emerging markets. The most notable IVR markets in the region are Brazil and Mexico, which together accounted for more than 70% of IVR shipment revenues in 2004.
