The building products market is calculated according to revenues accrued to manufacturers of building components and home improvement products. The market is broken down into concrete products, clay products, timber and joinery, metal products and other building material. The market excludes lumber and plywood classified under forest products, and cement and other materials (eg. gravel) classified as construction materials.

Prices are at retail (RSP) and all currency conversions have been calculated at 2005 annual average exchange rates.
