Présentation de l'étude de marché - Description & Table des matières
 NGN 2.0 - What network convergence ?

While the first phase of NGN migration (international, national, and in some cases regional, backbones’ migration to all IP) was conducted in a relatively homogeneous manner with a number of operators, the second phase which is now underway has revealed more disparate strategies.

This report takes stock of the stage of NGN (Next, or New, Generation Network) migration, identifies the stakes and challenges involved and the alternatives available to operators, to then determine the role that the new IMS architectural framework can play in this migration, and to sketch out future prospects. Included too is a presentation of equipment makers’ positions (NGN and particularly IMS strategies, the core products by layer (network, control, service enablement and applications), the major contracts that have been announced and the most significant partnerships.
