AAPT is Australia’s third largest telecommunications carrier offering local, national and international voice, data, mobile pay TV Internet services to business, corporate, government and residential customers.
Amcom is a second-tier telecommunications carrier providing fibre, DSL broadband and Internet services to the corporate, government and SME markets. Based in Western Australia, they have constructed over 820km of high-speed fibre optic networks in Perth, Darwin and Adelaide.

Hutchison Telecommunications Australia launched Australia’s first 3G network and service – 3. 3 offers of content through its portal Planet 3 including live and on demand Mobile TV, full length audio and video music tracks and other information and entertainment services such as news, sport and finance.

Macquarie Telecom is a supplier of ICT for the business and government markets. It provides a range of voice, data, mobile and hosting solutions to over 3,000 corporate and government customers in Australia and Singapore.

Nextgen Networks is a specialist telecommunications carrier which owns and operates Australia’s 3rd largest national fibre network of over 8,500km. It provides data networks and data solutions for other carriers as well as corporate and government customers.
People Telecom provides a range of telecommunication products and services including voice (mobile and fixed), data (broadband and VPN), and VoIP products. It utilises its own national data network and other carrier networks, equipment suppliers and other providers, including Telstra, Optus, and AAPT.
Personal Broadband Australia is a wholesaler of Australian broadband wireless services. It provides wireless personal broadband access services on a wholesale basis to distributors such as ISPs, ASPs, carriers, IT solution companies and mobile operators.
PowerTel provides data, voice and Internet services to corporate, government and wholesale customers through its own fibre optic and DSL network. This includes last-mile Fibre-to-the-Building (FttB) coupled with one of Australia’s largest DSL broadband networks.
Primus Telecommunications is a facilities-based total service provider offering telephony, data, ADSL2+, e-commerce, web hosting, VPNs and mobile services. Although the original focus was small to medium businesses, Primus’ customer base includes residential customers and large businesses.
Soul (formerly S P Telemedia) is a provider of IP telecommunications and multimedia services in the Australian marketplace. Services including voice, Internet and data solutions are provided to a customer base ranging from the consumer market through to the SME, corporate and government sectors.
Telecorp is a communications company focused on the prepaid market, providing value-added services to both the consumer and business markets.
TransACT is a Canberra based, privately owned company that builds and operates broadband communications infrastructure across Canberra. It delivers triple play communications services via voice, high speed data and video.
Unwired Australia provides wireless broadband Internet services to the residential, SOHO and SME markets, which has the ability to handle voice and data communications. The company uses technology developed by US-based Navini Networks.
Vodafone Australia is 100% owned by Vodafone Group Plc and is the third largest mobile carrier in Australia. The company’s GSM network currently covers 93% of the Australian population. In November 2005 Vodafone Australia launched its 3G network.
