Highlights
The technology leaders’ radar is dominated by the four leading vendors, indicating the degree to which the market has consolidated. These vendors are well established in this market, having gained significant market impact scores and, as can be seen here, the strength of their technology has enabled them to gain a market leadership position.
The only vendors that are present on the end-user sentiment radar are those that have been given a ‘shortlist’ rating. Cisco has the leading position for each category, with the exception of end-to-end solution and service capabilities where it has been placed second.
Cisco is the leader in a number of the categories in the market impact radar: its networking expertise has helped it to gain a strong position. It is unlikely to be displaced any time soon, in terms of mindshare and consideration rate, even though companies such as Nortel have been present in the communications market for many years.
