The aerospace & defense market is deemed to be the revenues accrued by manufacturers from civil or military aerospace and defense equipment and parts or products. The defense segment also includes defense electronics, and the aerospace segment includes space equipment. The market excludes all expenditure on military personnel and housing, research, development, test and evaluation, and military construction. All currency conversions have been calculated at a 2006 annual average exchange rates.
