Présentation de l'étude de marché - Description & Table des matières
Developments and innovations in the apparel sector, 2nd quarter 2008

DOGI HAS PATENTED ITS SEAMLESS CURVED
SELVEDGE TECHNOLOGY
Spain-based Dogi Group, a manufacturer of lingerie, swimwear and
sportswear made from elastic fabrics, has patented its technology
which makes it possible to manufacture garments with integrated
seamless curved selvedges. The technology has been patented under
the company’s Penn Elastic brand.

Dogi claims that garments which incorporate the technology are able
to adapt and mould to the body’s natural shape without the selvedges
being noticeable externally. At present, the company is using the technology in joint projects with
three well known international corsetry brands.

Dogi claims that it has a share of more than 25% of the global market
for elastic fabrics. In 2008 the company employed more than 2,000
people and had a production capacity of 40 mn metres of elastic fabric
a year. It distributes the products through its three brands—namely
Dogi, EFA and Penn Elastic.
